ANITA (i.e., advanced tooling for fighting online illegal trafficking) aims at improving investigation capabilities of LEAs (Law Enforcement Agencies) by delivering a set of tools and techniques to efficiently address online illegal trafficking of counterfeit/falsified medicines, NPS, drugs, and weapons. This will support the LEAs in more effective investigation activities by using online contents and information obtained under a lawful warrant.

DESTINI

DESTINI H2020 Twinning Project proposes a series of coordination and support actions for promoting research in the area of Smart Data. It brings together two internationally recognized scientific groups from the Netherlands (Tilburg University and Jheronymous Academy of Data Science - ERISS/JADS) and Italy (Sapienza Universita di Roma – UNIROMA1) that collaborate with Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) so as to strengthen CUT’s research and scientific profile in the relevant area. The aim of DESTINI is to facilitate transfer of scientific knowledge and expertise, as well as of best research practices from the leading institutions to CUT. The ultimate goal is that the research group of CUT increases its research capacity and prowess, by investigating a number of significant and hot topics in the field of Smart Data Processing and Systems of Deep Insight.

PRoTECT aims to strengthen local authorities’ capabilities in Public Protection by putting in place an overarching concept where tools, technology, training and field demonstrations will lead to situational awareness and improve direct responses to secure public places pre, in, and after a terrorist threat. This cross sectoral project is an initiative of the Core group of the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS)

RADON

---

RADON aims at creating a DevOps framework to create and manage microservices-based applications that can optimally exploit serverless computing technologies. These applications will include fine-grained and independently deployable microservices that can efficiently exploit FaaS and container technologies. The RADON framework will consist of an integrated methodology and an open source toolchain, to define, evolve, and operate event-centric applications that consume serverless functions, allowing a high-degree of reuse and automation of functions, services and associated data pipelines. The end goal is to broaden the adoption of serverless computing technologies within the European software industry. The methodology will strive to tackle complexity, harmonize the abstraction and actuation of action-trigger rules, avoid FaaS lock-in, and optimize decomposition and reuse through model-based FaaS-enabled development and orchestration. ​

SODALITE will provide application developers and infrastructure operators with tools that (a) abstract their application and infrastructure requirements to (b) enable simpler and faster development, deployment, operation, and execution of heterogeneous applications reflecting diverse circumstances over (c) heterogeneous, software-defined, high-performance, cloud infrastructures, with a particular focus on performance, quality, manageability, and reliability.
